  • He’s showing us a mac, pc, ps3 and movile. where’s teh Wii!?
  • support for drm is even more important
  • our strategy is simple: enable you to deliver content over all media

johnny loiacono, svp creative solutions biz unit.

  • He’s teasing us with CS3 features. ‘anyone want to see flash and illustrator work together?’
  • 10,000 people watching this on the web. that means you’re probably not reading this.
  • “building experiences that engage your audience”
  • note: lots of cs3 logos on white with reflective floor. lol

  • Bridge is the HUB!
  • She quickly wraps a cd cover graphic around a 3D wire mesh of a cd case in photoshop
  • Live color in Illustrator – automatically select a pallete based on color harmonies. Automatically change the color scheme of an illustrator object. very cool.
  • Kuler – sharing color swatches , just like colour lover. Also, Kuler widgets on the mac. also a flash based Kuler Apollo App!
  • network slowness during their presentation. ha ha. at least nothing crased.
  • eraser tool in illustratr. it keeps vector points.
  • indesign – demoing placing multiple images by cycling through thumbnails and clicking.
  • export to Digital Editions (with links)
  • showing directly to web – export page to xhtml / dreamweaver. not bad but that’s kinda scary to me.
  • Now we’ll look at web suite – Greg Rewis is on stage
  • Fireworks CS3 – export pages from photoshop to clickable web demo
  • Is anyone not impressed about all this? Kinda cool but very specific uses. People here love it regardless.
  • Dreamweaver – Using bridge you can drop images (like psds) into dreamweaver, where it gets automatically compressed. You can then go back and edit the psd source file.
  • you can check for browser compatibility even on older IE in vista. As it discovered a bug in the HTML, the projector started fuxing up. major static but funny.
  • OMG he said it, AJAX! Spry widgets and tools is built into Dreamweaver
  • what is ajax, he’s gonna tell us. Demoing an animated slideshow
  • They’re stalling for 60 seconds so they could fix the static. nervously bantering. Greg Rewis is asking for a raise.
  • now they’re taking questions.
  • still waiting on the projector. this is pretty bad. it’s been about 10 minutes of static.
  • HAHAHA 5 minute intermission. oh well, i guess no flash this year.
  • OK. we’ve all had a drink. I can’t believe they got us to sit down again.
  • apparently the problem was from a cellphone.
  • They’re ripping on Microsoft, just like at Apollo Camp. It’s funny cause Adobe has Macs everywhere. They don’t seem to be Windows users at all, yet, most of the software comes out on PC first.
  • Flash CS3 – Importing Illustrator file directly to Flash. It allows you to chose layers, etc.
  • Flash CS3 – showing the copy and paste motion XML code.
  • Now we look at the Production Premium Suite (for video), Bob Donlon will demo this
  • Now they’re saying how great MacPro’s are. Yay Apple, Boo Microsoft!
  • AfterEffects CS3 – SWF and AfterEffects integration
  • PS and AE – Export perspective vanishing point wireframes to After effects. This creates a 3d model of whatever was in photohop. Very quickly animate a 3dmodel of a building from a photoshop file. This gets some genuine oohs and ahs from the crowd
  • AE – he creates an IK puppet using points drawn on a photo of a person. Crowd loves this too.
  • Render time is much faster. drag a composition from AE into Premiere using a dynamic link.
  • He asks for A round of applols for Macintosh
  • Premiere – quick time stretching effect
  • SoundBooth – showing a spectrum analyzer. he’s editing the spectrum using visual tools to remove a cellphone ring. People love this.
  • Encore – drag and drop very simple menu creation system. you can output as dvd, blue ray, or flash. This allows you to basically export a dvd to the web.
  • Exporting to mobile. showing off Device Central.
  • Bob leaves the stage.
  • What if these aren’t enough and you wanna cross all diciplines – Adobe CS3 Master Collection which contains all CS3 products. “The next generation of publishing, in a box.”
  • More demos here: Webcast
  • That’s it – now we have cocktails and schmooze.
