Flex/sex Jokes Never Get Old

Well, I don’t have my version of this blog up any more, or any homepage at all, and I have also completely disappeared from posting. What do I have to say for myself? I’m very, very ashamed of me. Behind the scenes, I assure you that among umpteen-zillion other things, I am indeed working on getting my site up and I have collected a backlog of interesting things to post about and tantalize your read-ebral cortex.

But speaking of reading, what better reason to return from out of nowhere than shameless self promotion? I can’t think of one. So without further ado, I’d like to strongly urge you to buy at least one copy of my incredibly fantastic book, “Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Flex… But Were Afraid to Ask,” or as my publisher suggested might sell more copies, “Introduction to Flex 2.” It’s a downloadable, 88 page PDF that comes to you without any nasty crippling DRM. It teaches you all about Flex 2 and ActionScript 3 in a hurry, and it only costs TEN BUCKS! Plus, I think it might be funny or something. My mom liked it, at least.*

It skips all the fluff and long-winded explanations of things you already know that you might find in other technical books, and doesn’t talk down to you. It has plenty of example code and teaches you the basics in addition to a bunch of cool hints sprinkled about, some tricks I picked up building big applications for Schematic’s clients. It’s made for busy people like you and me who need to start building applications right away, people who don’t have time to sit down with a 500 page manual. Actually, who am I kidding, it’s made for people like you and me who grew up on chocolate frosted sugar bombs and are irreversibly hyperactive.

Go to my site or O’Reilly’s for more info and to get’cho self a copy!

* My mom actually didn’t read it at all. She doesn’t do computers.
